This Block of the Month will encompass 6 months.  We will be using Hoffman’s Kyoto Gardens fabric collection and Black Kona Cotton to make an elegant table runner/ wall hanging.

Each month for 6 months, you will receive a different pre-cut Oriental Hexagon shape and the fabrics to make your quilt block.  The last block will include all the Black Kona Cotton fabric for the sashing strips, the large end triangles, and two gold tassels.   The large end triangles provide a perfect canvas for you to do a Sashiko or machine embroidery motif.

You will receive the last block in December – just in time for you to finish your table runner in case you’d like to give it as a holiday gift.

How does it work?  All you pay is a one-time fee of $25.00 when you register.   You'll receive all the fabrics, pattern and the instructions you need to do your block each month.  The kits are ready the first Saturday of each month, so you’ll come in the first Saturday in June to pick up your first block kit.

Do I need to attend a meeting to get my block?  No – we do not make you attend a meeting. 

HOWEVER – You must come in and pick up your own block.  Our goal is to stay in touch with our customers and for our customers to enjoy working with our fabrics.  Please do not send your husband, wife, neighbor, friend, child or pet to pick up your block.   If you do not feel you will be able to pick up your own block, please do not sign up.  Yes, you can sign up to receive extra blocks.  Some folks like to make a larger quilt or give one set as a gift.

What if I can’t come in on the first Saturday?  That’s okay – we’ll hold the kit for you.  We realize that working schedules, illness and vacations sometimes cause scheduling conflicts.  However, you must pick up your kit by the end of the month (i.e., June kit no later than June 31^st) or your participation will be cancelled.  You can rejoin and start back up where you left off by paying $5.00 for each kit you missed to bring you current with the other members.

Can I participate in the Block of the Month by mail?  We will also be offering Oriental Hexagon Table Runner Block of the Month by mail.  The cost is a one-time fee of $40.00 which includes all the fabrics, pattern and  instructions you need to do your block each month plus shipping the kits to you each month.   

There are no refunds once the first shipment is mailed.
