Sampler # 240 in navy. This fun sampler features dragonflies on a square grid.   This design is also available in # 40 White and # 41 Gold.

This sampler offers many options.  You can stitch the dragonflies in one color and the grid in another.  Don't stitch the grid and let the lines wash out leaving the dragonflies on a solid color background.  Stitch the grid in a solid color and the dragonflies in a variegated color. What fun! Sashiko pre-printed samplers have wash-out stitching lines.  Do not pre-wash.

The design is printed on one half of the sampler.  The other half of the sampler has no design.  Use the plain half as the backing for a pillow or other project, draw your own design on the second half or leave plain.  Stitch through both layers for a little heavier fabric if using for a quilt square.  In Japan, the samplers are stitched through both layers, hemmed and use for tea towels or table decorations.
