Daruma Kogin Sashiko Needles. Two needles - 2 1/2".
These needles have a larger eye and are easier to thread than sashiko needles. Kogin needles are thicker than sashiko needles because of the difference in thread thickness.
“KOGIN” is born in Tsugaru area, Aomori prefecture, in EDO era. This technique was used to reinforce the cloth and retain warmth.
“KOGIN” stitching is also used when counting the number of fabric mesh in a textile. The longer needle is necessary to stitch many fabric meshes at once.
