This cotton basting thread is ideal for making tailor tacks - unique because it will not slip out of the fabric.  Cut one end of the skein and conveniently pull a strand out as needed.  The thread breaks easily when it is ready to be pulled out of your project This fine cotton basting thread is the top of the line for basting quilts, garments, and other projects. 

Remove the basting threads by snipping the basting threads every three or four inches and remove them gently. Never pull out long basting threads.
