Imported from Sevenberry of Japan, this print features a traditional wave (seigaiha) design formed by radiating arcs of tiny dots. 

The design is very dark.  It has been lightened to help show the design.  Almost reads as a solid.  Would be great as a backing for your quilting project.

The seigaiha or wave is a pattern of layered radiating arches forming a fan shape, symbolic of waves or water representing surges of good luck and the desire for continued peaceful living, like the tranquil waves.  It can also signify power and resilience.
