This 100% cotton sashiko thread is Prepared for Dyeing (PFD). PFD means it has been bleached clean white, but it has not been treated to resist dye. Regular white sashiko threads will not accept dye. Made in Japan, this thread is perfect for traditional sashiko stitching.

PLEASE NOTE - This thread is for DYERS specifically. If you use this product undyed for regular stitching it will pick up dye from other sources, such as the fabric you're using, or washing with other dye-bleeding items in the laundry. We sell a variety of other white threads that have already been pre-treated to resist fugitive dyes. Please take care when stitching with different threads.
