Clover Gold Eye Chenille Needles - Size 22

These short needles with a very large eye are used primarily for stitching coarse materials with thicker threads or ribbons.

 Chenille needles size 22 and 24 make good beginning sashiko needles.  The needle is fairly sharp and the shaft of the needle is thin enough to go through most sashiko fabrics without putting a large hole in the fabric.  The eye is a little larger than most sashiko needles, so it is easier for a beginner to thread.
