This is a combined weave fabric which means it could be a mix of silk, cotton, rayon, nylon and/or polyester. Our supplier in Japan did not know the exact fiber content.
This woven fabric features what looks like snowflake motifs in an elongated hexagon design. The fabric is actually double-sided. One side is darker gray while the reverse side is a lighter gray. It has a crisp feel but is still drapeable.
Our Japanese silk, silk blend, combined weave and wool fabrics are vintage fabrics on the bolt or from disassembled kimono. Some of our Japanese silks and wool bolts may have been stored for long time. Minor flaws such as slight discolorations or tiny spots may exists which are typical of older Japanese silk fabrics but they are in otherwise excellent condition. Some items will be suitable for wearables and other more for display or craft purposes.
Dry cleaning or hand washing in cool water with gentle/ mild detergent prior to sewing recommended.
Fabrics are traditional kimono width - 13" - 14" wide.
